The following are descriptions and ideas of what the THDC camper will engage in over the course of each themed week at Summer Camp 2021

THDC sUMMER CAMp 2021

With the abundance of choice you face when choosing a summer program ask yourself why THDC?

Our Program blends fun, adventure and learning.

At THDC Summer Camp we mix nature, with technology, with animals, with science, with summer to create fun and learning enviornments for our campers.

Let's Get Acquainted

June 17-21

WEEK 1: Campers Orientation.

Campers will meet and greet one another and get familiar with the camp, activities and more.

Unearth the Earth

June 24th-28th

WEEK 2: Earth Week will kick off our Summer. We will have crafts and activities centered around nature and sustainability, a hike, and various games including animal charades! On Friday dress up as your favorite plant or animal.

Funky Foods

July 1-3

WEEK 3: Week three is a time to get crazy with your food. We will be making crafts and food, playing spaghetti tag and much more. On Friday dress up as your favorite food.

Mad Scientist

July 8th-12th

WEEK 4: In week four of camp we will be making "Potions", performing science experiments and some crazy games! We will be observing nature as scientist do on a hike around our campus and we may even get to see a real scientist in action.

Journey to Outer Space

July 15th-19th

WEEK 5: Journey with us to undiscovered realms in week five of camp! We'll be making spaceships, playing out of this world games and celebrating the 48th anniversary of the moon landing.

Cool Creatures

July 22nd-26th

WEEK 6: Week six is sure to be a favorite! We'll be playing games like sharks and minnows, going on a Safari trip to observe animals and doing crafts like making animal masks! Come dressed as your favorite animal for dress up Friday.

Campers to the Rescue

July 29th-Aug 2nd

WEEK 7: In week seven of camp we will be learning about Safety! We will be learning about Firefighters, Lifeguards, EMT's and more. We may have Firefighters come pay the campers a visit! We'll also play games like water bucket relay! For dress up Friday came as your favorite rescuer or superhero!

Sammy Scholars

Aug 5th-9th

WEEK 8: For our eigth week we will be visiting the library or seeing a real lecuture hall. We'll be playing games and could get a demonstration from some of the University players! Dress up Friday will be Sammy the Slug themed so wear your blue and gold.
